3ft willow cuttings are really only needed if you intend to grow without any weed control. 2ft cuttings can be useful if planting in cultivated ground without groundcover, but 1ft will grow in most soils if planted through weed suppressing membrane.

We always recommend using a ground cover membrane where you can as you will get upto 4 times the growth in a season.
